We have a donation

A very special update, we have our first donation. Thanks to Dusky and his mom who donated $5.00 toward my vet care.

You can send donations via Paypal to winningemd@gmail.com

Hoppy St Andrew's day

Today is the day we celebrate the patron saint of Scotland, St Andrew.

I'm on daily bunny today, they have posted links to my Facebook page and this blog. We hope that it will bring in more donations.

Daddy did a more accurate weight on me, I'm down to 1.5kg. Daddy got me some oats, which is what the vet recommended last year when I needed to regain the weight I lost. So that, plus the pellets, plus critical care should keep my weight stable, or hoping, increase, until we can get into see the vet.

Also we saw yucky white stuff falling from the sky on the way home tonight, but it isn't going to be sticking around, the temperature is going up into the low double digits next week.

Update on how to donate

Sunki's daddy here with an important update.

We have found a couple of new ways to donate to Sunki's vet care, plus some further information for one of the methods.

Interac Email Transfer (also called a Email Debit Transfer)
1: go to your banks website, choose email money transfer.
2: send the money to the following address help4sunki@gmail.com
3: you need to choose a security question and answer, to make this easy use the following "who needs this money for vet care?" and the answer "Sunki".

Paypal:
You can do the same email money transfer as above from Paypal, just follow the instructions.

Western Union:
There are many methods to send money, what you need is the receiver's name and address, send an email to help4sunki@gmail.com and we'll give you the information for that.

So far Sunki seems to be holding his own, he is eating pellets and getting 15cc of critical care twice a day. When I weighed him last week he was 2kg when I weighed him just now he was down to 1.5kg, for Sunki's breed (mini-rex) he should be between 3 and 4kg.
I am going to try something I did last year when Sunki needed to gain back the weight he lost, I'm going to give him rolled oats with his pellets.

That was a fun show

Well, we saw Snow White on Thursday, and it wasn't what we expected at all. Of course with these shows you have to embrace the oddness, because you never know what silliness they are going to come up with. As a for instance, there aren't any dwarfs in this version of Snow White, and not to give anything away, but it's a "spy game" with some "numbers" for the hero, and his son Jack the giant killer.
We likely won't be seeing the show again, so daddy wasn't able to get me a stuffie from the show like last year. But daddy talked to grandma, and if she remembers to, she'll pick up one for me the next time she's at the theatre. I'm crossing my paws and rubbing my left hind foot for luck that she does remember, then my new stuffie can join Kiwi that I got from last years show.
Kiwi when I first got him.

Me and Kiwi.
Seeing this picture reminds me that I have to get daddy to dig out the Christmas stuff, and get our stuffies Santa clothes out. Tomorrow is the Beach Santa Claus parade, so we need the Santa stuff out. We are also likely to end up down at the Grey Cup party, hopefully we can sell more of daddy's cartoon cards which will get us closer to having enough money to get me into see the vet.
Speaking of which, I am eating my pellets again, but I'm still getting Critical Care twice a day so I don't go into stasis.

At the dinner

Boy, what I have to go through to see a show, long winded boring speeches. Plus the humiliation of being given meds right in front of everyone.
Next year the theatre is going to be 100 years old, that is what the cookie is about.

On the way

Me and daddy are headed to the theatre right now to see Snow White. Can't wait to see my favorite actor Eddie Glen, I met him last year on the subway when he was playing the Wizard Ozzie in the Wizard of Oz.

So excited for tomorrow

Considering I just started this blog a few months ago the most exciting stuff is still to come.
There is an annual tradition in the theatre community of our city, it is the annual Ross Petty Pantomime held at the Elgin Theatre. This year is Snow White the Deliciously Dopey Family Musical, tomorrow is the dress rehearsal and we get to see it for free, and we get a dinner too, well the humans do, but daddy is bringing my favorite greens for me to eat.

It's going to be so fun, grandma and grandpa, my great grand aunt, and my uncle Matthew will all be there, they all volunteer at the theatre too.

How to donate to my vet care

Okay, her is the information on how to donate to get my vet care.

Go to your banks online website, there should be a way to send an Interac e-mail money transfer. Go to that link, you may have to add a payee email to that in order for it to work.
Send the transfer to [ help4sunki@gmail.com ] and follow the instructions on your banks site to complete the process.

Still no donations

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. No one has donated to BIN, for my stuff, or for the general help of the other bunnies that need the help.

We do finally have an estimate on how much the vet is going to be, just to be seen by the vet is going to be $70.00, all the other procedures they won't even tell us what those amounts are until they see me. Grandma and daddy are working on setting up a way to do an email money transfer so that people can donate to help with my vet care.
Keep an eye on this blog in the coming days, I will let you know the wheres and hows to donate money to us.

Daddy is also working on putting his trading cards up on a site called Etsy so that people can buy them online, and the money raised will go to my vet care too.

Now on to some fun stuff, the Toronto Argonauts are playing the Calgary Stampeders in the 100th Grey Cup, and our city is going nuts over it.
My new fluffy Argo's blanket, nice and fluffy, just like me

See, all snuggled in and warm
Oh, and I got to meet some cheerleaders who posed for a picture with me
Toronto Agro's cheerleaders.
.
I also got a new pin to commemorate this momentous occasion
I wanted the actual mini Grey Cup, but that was way more then what daddy was willing to pay.

Look what we got

Yesterday my second most favorite movie came out on DVD, Brave. And daddy and I picked up a copy of it, and we watched it yesterday night. Oh, my first favorite movie is Hop.
This movie has our favorite band on the soundtrack the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

Daddy also got a new gadget for himself that attaches to the stroller, it holds his cell phone and makes it so he can see it when we're out walking.
Daddy's cell phone in the holder

The cell phone holder from the side.
My stroller is all set for the holidays, we've got some more Christmas type lights on it.
My stroller is even brighter now.

See the bag beside my stroller, that's for my greens, we got it from Bunfest a few years ago.

And I am having some issues with my teeth, last year I had a minor injury to my jaw which led to an abscess and stasis. Daddy has appealed to BIN (Bunnies In Need) to hopefully get them to pay for the vet, because no one in the family can afford to pay for the vet this time. So, if my loyal readers can spare some money, donate some to Bunnies In Need so that bunnies like me can get the help they need. You can find the link to BIN here, and go to the donate page.
At the moment I'm doing okay, I am eating my greens and drinking water, but I can't eat my pellets or hay. Daddy has started me on Critical Care so I don't go into stasis, and hopefully BIN will approve us going to see a vet before it runs out.

I got a new sweater

As it's getting colder outside we thought it best to find me some warmer clothing to wear.
So we were out at Petsmart yesterday doing some price checking on a new food bin to put our hay in, we looked at the doggie clothing and found this sweater.
It's camouflage, but it has skulls in the design

It needed a bit of alteration to make it fit me right

As you can see daddy is quite good at altering clothes to fit me

It even has a hood to keep my ears warm

Not liking the hood much though
In twelve days I'm going to get to go see my second live stage musical, it's Snow White the Deliciously Dopey Family Musical it is a Pantomime. These shows are really funny, last year was Wizard of OZ (that's where I got my koala Kiwi from). So this one should be just as funny.

It's on at the Elgin/Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto, and goes from November 23rd 2012 to January 5th 2013 so if you're in Toronto between those dates you should really come and watch, you'll be rolling in the aisles laughing.
This was taken back in 2009, I'm practicing super spy here, I'm in the basket under the stroller.

Royal Winter Fair and other things

This is my first chance to post something about the weekend, it was crazy busy with a couple of events.

On Saturday we went to the Royal Winter Fair, which is celebrating 90 years this year. The last time daddy went to it was when he was in public school, so decades ago. Both of us really wanted to go after daddy found out there were going to be bunnies there, one was a show (if daddy could have been up at 5:00am for 7 days straight, and had enough money he would have entered me into that), the other was bunny hopping (where the bunnies go through a course hopping over jumps ect). I'm far to independent minded to stick to a silly course, and would wonder around jumping over the jumps at random.

I have also realized that I wouldn't be any good at sheep herding, those things are a lot bigger then I thought they were, and my herding method (humping) just wouldn't work with sheep. I also learned that cows are disgusting smelly creatures, I can't believe that daddy likes to drink their milk and eat the meat that comes from them.

We did get me some things from the fair, a new button to show I was actually there, a mini bagpipe (even smaller then the other one I've got). AND after a two year long search we found NESSIE!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't at a Scottish festival either, it was at an agricultural fair, mind you it isn't a stuffed one, it's more of a fridge magnet, but still it's a NESSIE!!!!!!!!!!

Daddy got some stuff for him as well, a wooden walking stick, and two packages of exotic meat pepperettes. One is Camel, and the other package is Kangaroo.

On Sunday we went to an early Remembrance Day ceremony, which remembers the fallen soldiers that gave their lives so that we can live free. Daddy and I would like to pause right now and post two poems that are very near and dear to our hearts.

Impressions of a Pilot
Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;
To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;
Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;
Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;
For each of us is created to die,
But within me I know,
I was born to fly.
— Gary Claud Stokor

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
— John Gillespie Magee, Jr

Both of these poems are to commemorate daddy's grandfathers who were in the air force and are sadly no longer with us.

Now back to one of the fun things we did on Sunday, we found something from a very OLD Disney cartoon that predates even Mickey Mouse. We found an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Christmas tree ornament. Oswald is the original Disney character and predates Mickey by ten years, if it weren't for some back stabbing in the 1920s, it would be Oswald that would be the main stay of Disney. But because Disney lost the rights to him, Walt Disney drew a silly little mouse on the train ride home from New York to Hollywood. Had it not been for his wife we would be calling that little mouse Mortimer, but Mrs Disney didn't like that name and suggested Mickey instead.

Sheep are a lot bigger then I thought

Even the babies are bigger

The bunny jumping

My new pin

My Nessie

My two bagpipers

And finally Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, notice a resemblance to a certain rodent?

What is this strange thing in the sky

There is a really strange glowing object in the sky today, something I haven't seen in a long time. I think it's the sun, but I can't be sure because I haven't seen it in more then a week. Of course it could just be a UFO.
