Cheering for birds

Well, much as I hate to do it [sigh] I'm cheering for daddy's favorite NHL team, the Anaheim Ducks. I don't want to, but they are in the playoffs, and they aren't the Montreal Canadians (the rivals of my beloved Leafs).
However three Toronto teams are into the playoffs, so I can cheer for the them. The AHL Marlies, The NLL Rock (lacrosse) and the NBA Raptors. We can't find a Rock flag, but I do have my Marlies and Raptors flags flying on my stroller. If it's nice on Wednesday, we might go down to Maple Leaf Square to cheer on the Raptors. That Square has been unofficially renamed Jurassic Park, because the Raptors nickname are the Dinos, and their mascot is a kind of Dinosaur.

Daddy says that he already knows what he might be getting for his Birthday, he dropped a hint (or three) that what he'd like to do is go to the ComiCON in May. And he told me that grandma might get us tickets for it, which means I get to dress up as a Jedi Master again. I hope that my friends from the 501st are there, they are so cool.

Easter Parade

Yesterday was Easter, and of course there was the annual Parade here in the city, and we got to see something brand new. We got to see one of the brand new streetcars, they are so new that no one has ridden on them...... yet. I've posted before about Doors Open, and last night we found out that one of the things people will get to do is ride on one of the new streetcars.

Can't wait to ride this baby.

I got to see my Troopers from the 501st, and visited with inspected them after the parade. Speaking of the 501st, I was featured on their Facebook group yesterday, you can see the post here.
These pictures are screen grabs from the video daddy took

This is Beach Buddy, he's the mascot for the neighborhood.
Speaking of Star Wars, daddy has been busy with a new series of trading cards. Considering he's done DC and Marvel characters, he decided the next series is going to be Star Wars.

Daddy is trying to convince the 501st to make me the honorary mascot for the Canadian Garrison. I'll let you know when or if this happens.

Easter

It's almost here, tomorrow is one of three big days for us bunnies, Easter! The other two are International Carrot Day which is April 4th, and Rabbit Appreciation Day which is August 24th.

Tomorrow me and daddy are headed down to the big parade thrown in my honor (okay not really for me, but I don't see the real EB showing up for it).

Daddy figured out that if Santa has Elves to help him, then EB must have Hoppers to help him. Although I see myself more as EB rather then a helper. And which EB do I see myself as? The one in Rise of The Guardians of course, that EB is awesome, he has fighting skills, and uses boomerangs. Whereas EB in Hop doesn't really do any fighting, and he needs protection from the Pink Berets. If I'm anything from Hop I'm one of the Easter Bunnies Royal Guards, The Pink Beret bunnies (although I REFUSE to wear anything pink). I do have to give props to EB in Hop for his mad drumming skills, that is truly cool, wouldn't win anything in hand to hand combat, but might be useful in a battle of the bands.
This is the version of EB that I see myself as.
He does have a cuter version in the movie though.
This is what happens when children stop believing in the Easter Bunny

Speaking of RTG and Hop, those two movies are what we are watching right now, I got daddy to put on RTG first because it's my favorite.

Something new for techies

You might notice something new on the front page of this blog, just to the right you'll see two QR codes. The top one goes to my Facebook page, the bottom one goes to my Bunspace profile. You'll need a smart phone with a QR code reader app on it (we tested these using QR Code Reader from the Google play store), this way you can get from my blog to my other places on the web.

Bunspace you'll need a bunny and a profile to talk to me, same goes for Facebook (but almost everyone has a profile on Facebook).

QR for this blog
The QR code for this blog we are going to print out and attach it to my stroller somehow, that way people can get here, and follow the other two to the other spots important to me.

Daddy's new phone

Yesterday I mentioned that daddy had to get a new phone, well I thought I should share with you what it can do.
This is a really fancy phone because it can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot, so now we have two ways we can connect to the internet. The plan that we are on gives us UNLIMITED internet, and it's not up to something like 10gb, it is truly unlimited. The plan we were on with the other company had the same sort of deal, but they were going to be changing that to just 1gb a month. And the new plan costs way less then what we had with the other company.
The phone has two cameras, one in front and one on the back, so daddy can take selfies of us.
There is a really neat app that it came preloaded with called Picsay, which is a photo editor app, and can do things like this....
Daddy made a version of this, but it's much better using the app.
This is the original version of the Picsay photo above.

One of the pictures we took from last years Bunfest, now improved.
Or this....
My pirate captain look

I look funny wearing sunglasses.
Daddy also gets way better reception in our apartment, with the other phone we'd be lucky to get even one bar (and only if daddy stood on his head, spun counterclockwise, well singing Mary had a little lamb). The new phone gets full reception with no head standing, spinning or singing.
Daddy's new phone
The phone is made by Alcatel, which we've never heard of, but then it is a European company based in France.
In future you can expect to see a lot more fun photos like the ones above on my blog.

Speaking of future things, daddy is still working out the details, but we have a QR code that directs smart phones to the mobile version of this blog. He's just got to figure out how to make it so we can put it on things that people can access while we are out and about. We are also trying to figure out how to put it on the main page of this blog, and on my Facebook page.

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Marlies won their game!!!!!!!! Which also means they won their division, so now they go to the Calder Cup playoffs, it's the AHL version of the Stanley Cup.

Me and daddy had so much fun
My replacement Marlies pin
Like daddy figured most of his money went to food, I mean $12 for a hamburger and drink, it's just robbery.

I even stood in for my friend EB (Easter Bunny), a pair of little kids with their moms were there, and daddy told them that I can tell EB what they want for Easter. The moms thought it was the cutest thing, the kids both wanted chocolate (easy enough for EB to pull off).

An event in itself, the Zambonis that drive around the rink.
A Zamboni resurfaces the ice, it's some sort of magic that I don't understand. It drives around and new ice comes out the back of it. I think there is a rolled up sheet of ice inside the front part, and as it drives the ice unrolls behind it, I could be wrong though.
Watching the game
This is the before picture
This is the after picture.
The two pictures you see up there, those were taken by daddy's new phone. The bottom one is the result of an app on the phone, that allows daddy to add speech/thought bubbles to pictures.

Oh yeah, I guess I should tell you that daddy had to change cell phones, and companies. You see, the company daddy had been with got taken over, it wasn't going to be worth while to stay with the company. So daddy has gone to Wind, and got an even better phone, and a equal quality plan for less.

And the score for the game, Marlies 3 Utica Comets 2. Don't worry we didn't know where Utica was either, so daddy looked it up on Google maps, it's in New York State, east of Syracuse.

Marlies here we come

This Sunday me and daddy are gonna be watching my second favorite hockey team, the Marlies in their first round playoff game. This'll be our third time seeing them play, and the first time seeing a playoff game.
It's gonna be so fun, I'm vibrating with excitement.

more famous then ever

On Sunday me and daddy went to see my beloved Argonauts choose this years new cheerleader squad, more on that a little later.

Right now I have to vent about some security guards that over stepped their bounds, and tried to bully daddy.

The problems started when the guard tried to be a bully, and get daddy to move several times, the first time we were nice about it and moved. But then the requests started to border on annoying, the second time he wanted us to move up to the second level. It was the way the request was made, and the reason for it that made daddy upset. The guard didn't some much as ask as ordered daddy to move, because someone "might" be allergic to me. Another place had made the same request a few years ago, saying that people might be allergic to me. So daddy wasn't going to fall for another lame excuse. Daddy told the guard that he wanted to talk to his supervisor, daddy then told the supervisor that he was nice the first time, but he wasn't going to move again. The supervisor said that she could have us removed from the property, daddy told her that he was within his rights to be there, and the law was on his side. After that they left us alone.

Okay, now back to the fun stuff.

There were over 40 girls trying out for 26 spots, there was a group standing beside us, someone they knew was competing for one of the spots. More on that girl a little later. The first thing we did when we got there was get in on the deal they had, something like last year, a voucher for a ticket to a game, and something else. Last year it was a T-Shirt, this year it was a DVD about the Argo's Grey Cup win in 2012. So again this year we will be attending our 2nd football game, this time against the Saskatchewan Roughriders (BTW my uncle that was working in Saskatchewan is back in Ontario).

Our voucher and DVD
There were several celebrity judges there, only one of them we knew.
This is Rudy Blair, he's a music reporter on the only radio station we listen to.
The guy in the brown jacket is one of the other judges, remember him, he comes up later.
There's a few of the judges that we don't know, some singer named Karl Wolf, and a few ladies from TV and radio.
We only know two of the five.
We got to meet the Argo mascot Jason, and he remembered us from last year. When he saw us he gave daddy a thumbs up, and a high five.
Daddy also got my football signed.
Now it's even more important

This is the player that signed my football
The player's name is James Yurichuk, he used to play for the BC Lions, then traded to the Argos last year. And he was born right here in Ontario, Brampton to be exact.

Oh, and that bald guy I mentioned, he is a reporter with the Toronto Sun. And the article he wrote on the event featured a very famous bunny, you can read the article here, see if you can spot the famous bunny. I'll give you a hint, he's typing this out right now.
Hint, this bunny is the one wearing the double-blue sweater.
Also mentioned in that article is the cheerleader that made it in.
